If you’re going to have salt, you might as well make it as healthy and as flavorsome as you can.
(Remember the old saying of course: ‘Everything in moderation, except for those people who can’t have it at all’.)
Salt does rightfully get bad press but a little salt from Himalayan rock salt is not just plain table salt, Sodium Chloride (NaCl), it’s purported to contain over 80 trace minerals and other elements that are good for our well-being (not to mention our taste buds, by adding a complexity of flavour to pretty much any dish!).

Williams Sonoma is offering an elegant Himalayan salt plate with none of the rough and chipped edges of some others. It’s also guaranteed to be genuinely Himalayan salt. The plate comes with a protective porcelain-enamelled steel holder. This is particularly useful when using the plate to cook on, as it allows the plate to be transferred from the barbecue to the table much easier. It looks pretty impressive too!
