We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our Accounts Manager in maintaining smooth financial operations.
About the Role
As our Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting invoicing, reconciliations, payroll, and financial administration. This is a casual, in-office role that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Administration: Processing invoices, reconciling bank transactions, and following up on outstanding payments
- Accounts Support: Assisting with payroll, timesheets, and job cost reports
- Client & Staff Communication: Managing accounts-related emails, liaising with clients on payments, and providing financial support to staff
- General Support: Assisting the Accounts Manager with financial reporting and other ad hoc tasks
About You
- Experience with Xero (or similar accounting software)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance-related role is highly desirable

- A flexible casual role: This role will usually require 8 hours per week (2 x 4-hour shifts per week), but additional hours will be available when our Accounts Manager is on leave
