Chelsea 2010
Originally destined for the 2009 Chelsea Flower Show, the devastation caused by the 2009 bushfire season prevented Australia entering at Chelsea that year. But due to the passion of all involved, the garden was entered again in 2010, coming away with a well-deserved and highly coveted Gold Medal.
The 2010 Trailfinders Australian Garden presented by Fleming’s, was the sixth Australian garden to appear at the Chelsea Flower Show. A quintessentially Aussie design by Scott Wynd of TLC in Melbourne, the 2010 garden showcased everything that makes our showgardens stand out at Chelsea.Scott’s design reflects the passion that Australians have for an outdoor lifestyle, drawing on his expertise in designing wet areas and outdoor rooms.
Ian Barker and Associates are proud to have been selected to lead an all-Australian volunteer crew to construct the show garden and to be part of such a prestigious event – for the second time. The camaraderie that grows amongst team members and the dedication shown by everyone involved is a reward in itself; but of course a Gold Medal win is hard to beat!
