Malvern Property

In designing the garden, the client liked the early styles of Edna Walling and Gertrude Jekyll, free flowing, yet manicured gardens that moved to a certain extent away from the English cottage gardens. With this in mind we set about breaking the garden up into a series of rooms. The rooms would consist of an entrance, entertaining area, orchard, formal lawn and sitting room and the obligatory utilities area.

The use of second hand red bricks served to provide a soft weathered appearance as well as contrasting the white of the home. The half moon paving instantly softened the straight angles of the home. The size of the area was also kept to a minimum to allow for that private cozy feel.
